Halter.
first building for one of NZ's most exciting start ups
Halter is an innovative New Zealand-based startup set to revolutionise the dairy farming industry. Halter’s ‘Hoop’, a wearable tech collar designed for cows, uses audio and vibration cues to herd cattle. Farmers are able to manage their herd remotely using Halter’s proprietary software application, ‘Helm’.
Halter approached Deremios while in their funding phase, to build out a brand that would resonate not just with farmers, but also with NZ and US private investment funders and venture capital firms.

Brand strategy
Deremios undertook a lean brand strategy with Halter’s executive team to examine their company’s DNA and ultimately create a positioning and proposition that would underpin all brand efforts. The final brand platform is one that appeals to both tech investors and innovative farmers looking for a way to take control of their farm and be part of the future of farming.

Brand identity and communications
Building upon the brand’s newly defined strategic direction, we built a look and feel to showcase the brand’s personality and vision. Cows and farms are presented in the same vein as technology, reinforcing the feel of innovation. We also defined the voice of Halter, a communication style and messaging hierarchy to ensure brand projection to the company’s very different stakeholder groups.

The future of Halter
With a Board of Directors boasting Rocket Lab’s CEO Peter Beck and Mike Collett of Promus Ventures, alongside Halter’s founder and CEO Craig Piggott, and funding from the likes of K1W1 and Iceangels, Halter is no doubt destined for serious commercial success that will disrupt the dairy farming industry as we know it. The newly developed brand now matches the business potential and sets up Halter to appeal to all stakeholders and achieve the success it is capable of.
